Apple executives think 8 GB RAM is enough
Nowadays, some computer manufacturers now offer a minimum of 16 GB RAM option for their new models . Apple is also wanted to be among these manufacturers. However, it seems that the company will not make any changes for a few more years.
Apple executives Kate Bergeron and Evan Buyze defended the company’s offering of 8GB of RAM for MacBook devices in a recent interview with ITHome . Buyze stated that this amount of memory is sufficient for most purposes such as web browsing and photo editing.
Apple claims that 8 GB of RAM in its computers is equal to 16 GB of memory in other devices, thanks to its unified memory architecture . This may be the reason why the company did not give up on 8 GB RAM . Because Apple ‘s marketing manager Bob Borchers also states that the memory architecture makes the MacBook much more efficient . He also says that users should focus on the power of the system, not just the technical features.
